Leslie McDevitt is a dog behavior consultant, author, and speaker. She specializes in creating operant counterconditioning procedures to empower working, performance, and pet dogs to feel safe and comfortable so they can function confidently in stressful environments. Leslie’s books have been translated into multiple languages. Her methods have changed the lives of hundreds of fearful or reactive dogs and their people around the world.
Saturday’s seminar will focus on Pattern Games. These popular games from Control Unleashed allow dogs to initiate a predictable, reliable behavior chain that helps “normalize” challenging environments so they can focus confidently on their work. The patterns are easy and once you get the idea you and your dog can create your own. On Sunday she will teach 3 private lessons in the morning.
People requesting working spots will be asked to submit a description of their dog’s behavior issues to Leslie so she can choose the ones that will present the most useful teaching models to the attendees.
