Bobbie owns and operates Pawsitive Performance which offers dog training, fitness training and trick training around the globe. She was part of the TEAM that contributed knowledge and experience to design the CCFT II Live Lab and is a course “Instructor” for the program. Bobbie also completed the certification program for Canine Fitness through the Companion Animal Sciences Institute and she is a Certified Training Partner with the Karen Pryor Academy.

Bobbie has 4 awesome dogs that train a variety of skills for agility, fitness training, trick training, tugging and dock diving. Bobbie enjoys the training process and strives to communicate in the best way she can to help her dogs and clients dogs understand the task at hand. She starts every training sessions with this question “how can I set the dog up for success and give the dog the best information to successfully complete the behavior?”

Sessions

Nerdy Fitness
Date: May 20th 
Time: 9am-4pm

This workshop will adjust to the participants’ needs. Bobbie specializes in designing exercise based on what the dog’s performance is AND what the desired performance will be after strength training and conditioning. Participants should be prepared for their dog to be evaluated by the group and the instructor.

Prerequisite: beginner seminar or previously taken lessons with Bobbie. Working dogs should be old enough to have growth plates closed. 

Attendees will learn: 

  • how to evaluate your dog (and others) for canine fitness
  • basic structure evaluation
  • exercises that will specifically target your dog’s needs
  • exercises that support specific movements required for your sport or activities that you are involved in.

Beginner K9 Fitness Program
Date: May 21st
Time: 9am-5pm

Participants will learn skills specific to increasing communication between handler and dog while setting the dog up for successful engagement of targeted muscle groups. Some dog training skills will be covered in an effort to improve dog/handler communication. Participants will understand how to build good foundation skills on equipment, how to properly inflate equipment and how to position equipment for the desired goal.  Warm up and Cool Down strategies will be covered.  Working spots can be puppies/dogs 6mo or older. 

Prerequisite: This is a Prerequisite for participants for future days with Bobbie. You may also utilize previous online classes with Bobbie as a pre-requisite to a working spot.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are 55 minutes long and will focus on exercises to help you achieve your individual performance and fitness goals. You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire in advance so Bobbie can prepare for your lesson. Time slots will be assigned with preferences taken into account if possible.
