Handle Like A Pro with Julie Jenkins, Shelly Switick, & Leerie Jenkins

A Quicksilver Canine/Precision Flyball Joint Seminar

September 21-22, 2024
9 am – 5 pm
Quicksilver Canine, Julian, NC

Training your dog to play flyball is just one piece of the puzzle. In the heat of competition, handler skills make the difference between teams that run like a well-oiled machine and teams that don’t. Join us for two days of nerdy flyball training and learn to be the best handler you can be, for your dog and your team!

Topics include

  • Improving passing and starting
  • Training and executing re-runs
  • Cues and reinforcement strategies for maintaining connection in the ring
  • Understanding the EJS
  • Effective coaching
  • Running a smooth warm-up

Prerequisites

Working dogs must already know the flyball pattern and be familiar with passing and racing.

No trained dog? No problem! If you don’t have a fully trained dog but still want to participate, we will have some trained loaner dogs available. We will pair you with a dog to work for the weekend.

Auditors are encouraged to bring trained dogs who can run as helpers.

Cost

  • Working $300 (limit 20)
  • Audit $150 (limit 25)
