Bobbie owns and operates Pawsitive Performance LLC which offers dog training, fitness training and trick training around the globe. Bobbie currently is the lead instructor and program director for the Certified Canine Strength and Conditioning Coach program that is offered through North Carolina State University and North Carolina State University Veterinary Medicine. She was also part of the TEAM that contributed knowledge and experience to design the CCFT II Live Lab and is a course “Instructor” for the program. Bobbie completed the certification program for Canine Fitness through the Companion Animal Sciences Institute and she is a Certified Training Partner with the Karen Pryor Academy.
Bobbie has 4 awesome dogs that train a variety of skills for agility, fitness training, trick training, tugging and dock diving. Bobbie enjoys the training process and strives to communicate in the best way she can to help her dogs and clients dogs understand the task at hand. She starts every training sessions with this question “how can I set the dog up for success and give the dog the best information to successfully complete the behavior?”
Sessions
Friday March 10th – Focus on Posture and Building a Strong Foundation
Learning about your dog’s posture and how it affects strength, balance and movement is key to understanding how to help your dog maintain good form and function in everything they do.
There is foundation training for everything we do and during this workshop you will learn the basic understanding how reward position, handler position, and overall posture of each exercise affects muscle engagement. A variety of exercises will be taught, demonstrated and practiced by all participants.
This workshop has changed quite a bit so if you have not taken it since evaluating posture was added, this is a good workshop to start with.
This workshop is for any age dog. It is recommended if bringing a young puppy, to plan to take a lot of breaks or bring another dog to swap out when the puppy needs a break.

Saturday, March 11th – Cavalettis and Core Strength
Learn key exercises that will improve your dog’s stride and strengthen the core muscle groups. We will focus half the day on all things cavalettis. There are so many beneficial exercises that can be done with a simple set of poles and cones. The other half the day will focus specifically on core strengthening. A variety of exercises will be taught, demonstrated and practiced by all participants.
It is helpful to have attended the Focus on Posture and Building a Strong Foundation either as a worker or an auditor. Dog’s 8 months and older are welcome in this workshop.

Sunday, March 12th – Flyball Fitness
Learning some basic exercises that can help cross train a Flyball dog is key injury prevention. This workshop can help troubleshoot limb awareness for box turns, improve muscle strength for extension and collection, improve communication with your dog and increase strength, balance and commitment to movement.
Dogs 6mo and older can attend this workshop but puppies will need to sit out of more advanced exercises where needed.

March 10th – 13th, Private Lessons – Some availability on all 4 days.
Private lessons are 55 minutes long and will focus on exercises to help you achieve your individual performance and fitness goals. You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire in advance so Bobbie can prepare for your lesson. Time slots will be assigned with preferences taken into account if possible.
