About this Seminar
This advanced workshop will work on building focus and confidence around human distractions
specific to performance contexts. We will discuss strategy, come up with an actionable training
plan, and rehearse implementation with systematic setups that closely reflect performance
conditions for maximum carryover. The exercises will be customized for each team based on
their chosen sport and individual issues.

This workshop is appropriate for experienced clicker trainer working toward competition in any
canine sport, and dogs that may be distracted by or attracted to people in a performance or
training context. This workshop is not appropriate for handlers that are new to clicker training, or
dogs that are overtly reactive or aggressive to humans or other dogs.
Basic knowledge of clicker training principles, including operant and classical conditioning, is
assumed. Dogs should be able to rest comfortably in their crates and take food willingly in a
public setting.

About Hannah
Hannah Branigan is on a mission to make training fun and enjoyable for dogs and their
handlers. With the belief that everyone (dogs and humans alike) learn best in an environment
free of criticism, Hannah breaks down complex skills into bite-sized, accessible pieces, and
develops practical techniques that leave her students with a sense of achievement and success.
She is fascinated by behavior and learning, and passionate about bringing innovative, sciencebased
solutions to the dog/human learning space.

Hannah has a background in both human sports and biology. Now she applies that knowledge
and experience to the world of animal training and canine competitive sports. She enjoys
training and competing with her own dogs in a variety of sports, and has titled her dogs in
Obedience, Agility, Conformation, IPO (Schutzhund), and Rally. Her competition obedience
DVDs have received rave reviews from trainers all over the world, and her students have
earned advanced titles in multiple countries. While primarily interested in the training process,
she finds the high scores, prestigious awards, and national rankings she has earned to be very
reinforcing.

  • The seminar is indoors in a heated/air conditioned space (bring layers if you tend to get
cold), and has room for indoor crating for everyone
  • Please bring a chair, a crate, and whatever else your dog needs to be comfortable while
waiting (crate cover, chew bone, etc.)
  • The working surface is JUTAgrass turf
  • Please make sure to potty your dog outside (and pick up after your dog! Plenty of trash
cans and a dumpster are provided around the property) as soiling the turf carries a $10
fine. This is to motivate you to potty your dog ahead of time!
  • Please note there is no wi-fi on site and very little cell service inside the building,
however there is a reasonable cell signal outside the building.
  • There is plenty of parking in front of the building and along the side. Please don’t double
park in front of the building, the fire code does not allow this.
  • There will be a separate liability release form for the facility. If it is your first time at
Quicksilver Canine or you have never signed a release form, please do so upon arrival.
